Sound Concept's home shop — 264 E Route 59. Decades on the same bench, wiring daily drivers, tuned trucks, and the occasional Ferrari.
Sound Concept opened its Nanuet headquarters on Route 59 in 1998. The business itself goes back to 1980, when Bruce MacDonald opened the original MacDonald Sound. Jose Colón joined Bruce in 1996 and became partner in 2002 — same two hands on the bench since.
What walks through the bay in Nanuet is a mix: a Lexus daily driver getting wireless CarPlay, a Bronco Raptor in for full sound dampening, a Ferrari Roma keeping every factory control and gaining CarPlay through the OEM screen. We design each install around what you actually use the car for, then build it factory-clean so nothing in the cabin reads aftermarket.
The shop is staffed by MECP Master technicians and IASCA sound-quality judges. Wiring is loomed, fused, and routed through factory grommets. Components are bench-tested before they touch the car. Labor carries a lifetime warranty to the original owner — we only call about a labor cost if a repair would exceed $85.

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto added to the factory radio. Factory display, factory controls, factory amplifier — all retained. The phone pairs and projects through the OEM screen with no aftermarket bezels.
Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto retrofitted to the factory head unit. Steering-wheel controls, factory backup camera, and the OEM screen all kept. A common daily-driver upgrade done so it looks and feels OEM.

Both work. Most installs are booked in advance, but stopping by 264 E Route 59 to talk through a build or get a quote is fine during shop hours. For something complex or for an exotic, call first.
